Editorial standards
Evidence before interpretation.
We ask what happened, why it matters, and which verifiable milestone comes next. An attractive laboratory result is not proof of an economically viable industrial system.
How a signal becomes a story
- Retrieve permitted metadata or manually supplied source material.
- Preserve the original URL, retrieval time, date precision and raw content privately.
- Deduplicate and resolve organizations; propose project changes.
- Attach evidence, units, boundaries and uncertainty to each substantive claim.
- Review technical significance, economics, climate accounting and rights.
- Publish only after human review through a Git pull request.
Claim labels
- Verified fact
- Evidence-backed and explicitly reviewed by an identified human.
- Company-reported claim
- Attributed to an organization; not independent confirmation.
- Model-derived interpretation
- Depends on a model, its boundary and assumptions.
- Analyst inference
- An interpretation separated from observations.
- Unverified information
- Insufficient evidence; cannot pass the publication gate.
Source access & coverage
Crossref and OpenAlex adapters collect bounded scholarly metadata. A configurable RSS adapter respects robots.txt and requires an approved feed. IEA, CO₂ Value Europe, Global CO₂ Initiative, DOE/NETL, journals and corporate sources begin as manual-review entries. Registry inclusion does not imply successful retrieval or reuse permission.
One capped response per API per run keeps collection inexpensive; it is not exhaustive coverage. Retrieval failures and caps are logged. API metadata is discovery evidence, not a verified industrial claim.

Climate accounting
Carbon avoidance, fossil-carbon substitution, temporary use, durable storage and atmospheric removal are distinct outcomes. A claim must state its functional unit, system boundary, reference scenario, geography, year and uncertainty. No climate benefit is inferred from utilization alone.
